Certification in Ophthalmology is reserved for those physicians who have completed all the required formal education and training and who pass a difficult two-part examination bv the American Board of Ophthalmology. Similarly, certification by the American Board of Optometry requires difficult study and is a marker for success. These exams certify not only knowledge, but also the ability to provide expert care to patients. All eye care physicians at Eye Associates of the South are certified in their field.
