Sprague Eustis, M.D.

Dr. Sprague Eustis is a Board Certified ophthalmologist who is fellowship trained in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. Dr. Eustis sees patients on Fridays at the Cedar Lake office. The remainder of Dr. Eustis' time is spent at Oschner Hospital in New Orleans where he sees patients, performs surgery, and is co-director of the ophthalmology residency program for Oschner/LSU and is the director of Pediatric Ophthalmology.

Dr. Eustis received his undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA, and his medical school training at LSU School of Medicine. His residency was completed in the LSU ophthalmology program. Dr. Eustis' pediatric fellowship was completed at several prestigious institutions, including the Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto), The Children's Hospital in Washington, DC, and the Wilmer Institute.

Dr. Eustis has received numerous awards including the Honor Award from the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and the Honor Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Eustis also serves as a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and Ophthalmology, and American Journal of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Eustis sees children of all ages on a referral basis for such problems as strabismus ("crossed eyes"), retinopathy of prematurity, pediatric cataract, and refractive problems. Dr. Eustis also sees adults for strabismus problems.
